Lovely poster made for Lisa
 Tuesday 6th Lisa (Dr Henglien Lisa Chen) gave her lecture this morning to undergraduate students at Soochow. Great posters made for us announcing our topics etc and pictures of these will follow soon! Lecture followed by visit to writer's previous residence in the mountains and then back to campus for banquet lunch with lovely hosts. More pictures of that to follow too. The afternoon was spent meeting with the social work department at Soochow exoploring UK social work education context as well as future collaboration possibilities.

    Annapurna Base Camp Trek
    Annapurna base camp trek, which begins at 1,090m, climbs to 4,130m at ABC. It is fairly demanding, but is suitable for beginners or adventure trekkers: provided you are reasonably fit and walk slowly up the higher slopes. From Pokhara, a bus will take you to Nayapul from where you will walk, from ridge to river over many ridges, as the trail gradually climbs past villages and terraced farmlands or bird-filled forests of rhododendron, oak, maple and pine. Annapurna sanctuary trekking open high ground is rewarded with outstanding views of high peaks and glaciers in the area.
